For any place to survive that long, their food and culture must have had some magic that catered to the hunger of multiple generations. What is even more interesting is that they are economically light on the pockets. These are a must visit places for anyone new to the city and even to the native dwellers.

Here we have put forth a list of the legendary restaurants in Bangalore along with a few awesome food joints who have kept the 100 rupees food trend alive in Bengaluru.

1. Shree Sagar (CTR)

Popular for their Bennai Masala Dosa and Mangalore Bhajjis. Be prepared to wait because this place is pretty damn crowded.

2. Brahmin’s Coffee Bar, Basavanagudi

Legendary outlet serving authentic South Indian food. Have to try their Idlis if you go there. Oh and not to forget the crunchy vadas.

Tasty South Indin food and a lot of satisfaction. You have to have the breakfast at Veena stores if you're in bangalore.

A popular chai hangout place for the youth in Bangalore. The place gets mad crowd everyday but they still have somehow managed to keep the quality in check!

9. Albert Bakery, Frazer Town

Location: 93, Mosque Road, Frazer Town, Bangalore

Legendary Bakery started in 1902 Yummy Samosas and Chicken Cutlets, The place is supposed have a cult status in the city. Opens only at 3pm. According to many, this is  must visit if you're in Bangalore.

10. Hotel Mysore Mylari, Basavanagudi

Location: 26/1-1, Bugle Rock Road, DVG Road Cross, Basavanagudi, Bangalore

Must try their Saagu Masala Dosa, presented with a dollop of butter which just melts in your mouth.

A must visit place for authentic puliyogare- Tamarind Rice.

Another South Indian Restaurant with excellent food. The place will not let you down. A blend of old style menu with new style service.

Best known for their Coffee and Masala Dosa.

14. Iyer Mess, Malleshwar

Eating place at the terrace, Food is served over banana leaf and a perfect south Indian ambiance
